About The Position

As a FSQA Tech you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role involves performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately, and taking corrective action when necessary. This includes alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. Additional assignments may be requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
  • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Must function well under stress.
  • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must be able to work in wet environment.
  • Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling.
  • Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently.
  • Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification.
  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date).
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months.
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months.
