About The Position

Purely Elizabeth is hiring a Food Safety Quality Assurance Coordinator to be their eyes and ears onsite in Tennessee. Based in Boulder, CO, Purely Elizabeth is a high-growth natural foods company focused on creating products using elevated, nutrient-rich ingredients. Their award-winning products include granola, oatmeal, and cereal. Founded in 2009 by Elizabeth Stein, a certified holistic nutrition counselor, the company is dedicated to helping consumers thrive on their wellness journey. This position will work in close collaboration with contract manufacturer’s QA, R&D and procurement teams to uphold Purely Elizabeth’s quality standards and drive improvement across our manufacturing footprint.

Requirements

  • Ability to be onsite at Bridgetown Natural Foods location in Nashville, TN.
  • Basic understanding of Quality Systems, Food Safety, and Quality Assurance (HACCP, GMP, GFSI).
  • 2-4 years’ combined experience with food, ingredients and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Must be very detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Domestic travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold quality standards, including on-site presence and facility audits.
  • Observe processes directly to ensure quality standards are being met consistently.
  • Collect and analyze product feedback as well as organize and follow up on action plans for non-conformances.
  • Work with existing documentation systems and establish processes and procedures.
  • Support FSQA Managers and Director with certification paperwork and on-going maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve business goals.
  • Assist with other projects as necessary.
