About The Position

Responsible for managing and administering Preventative Control for the Sanitation programs. To effectively support and continually improve the Quality and Food Safety Management System. This position is responsible for ensuring the appropriate food safety policies and procedures are utilized in the manufacture of products in order to meet regulatory, customer and consumer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with High School degree
  • Strong foundation in interpersonal communication concepts, specifically, written, oral, presentation, listening, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to lead team members, facilitate change, foster innovation, results, and manage timebound constraints.
  • Ability to effectively challenge status quo and provide open and constructive feedback to all levels of the organization. Ability to handle the “tough” conversations.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and plant personnel.
  • Working knowledge in principals of Facilitation, Prioritization, Problem Solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Driver of Food Safety/ Sanitation programs, including but not limited to: FSMA compliance (including PC documentation), Cleaning & Verification, Self- Inspections, Corrective Actions, Maintenance, GMP’s, Hygienic Zoning
  • Leading and directing PC Technicians in your designated area.
  • Lead process improvement of PPCA area for cleaning and sanitation.
  • Track Sanitation Preventive Control KPI’s.
  • Monitoring hygienic conditions in assigned PPCA area. Will be a back-up to other PC Monitors on the team to fill in during absences.
  • Perform routine audits of assigned area for acceptable sanitary guidelines. Fix unsatisfactory audit findings.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities are documented.
  • Inspect equipment post cleaning pre sanitizing steps, execute ATP swabbing.
  • Provide daily feedback to plant management as well as team members regarding regulatory compliance, quality/ food safety, safety, and reliability issues.
  • Work with direct manager to identify new opportunities for Sanitation Compliance using the Cedar Rapids Food Safety Plan as a guide.
