Food Runner - Public House - Luxor
About The Position
As a Food Runner for Public House at Luxor, you will serve as the vital link between our energetic kitchen team and our lively, stadium-style dining room, bringing our famous comfort food and game-day classics to life within the iconic pyramid. You will do far more than deliver signature dishes and local craft brews; you will craft memorable guest experiences by articulately detailing our flavorful menu offerings with passion and answering guest questions with friendly, polished ease. Working in close, high-spirited collaboration with your service teammates to ensure prompt, courteous, and attentive tableside care, you will elevate every guest's dining experience, making our sports-pub the ultimate destination to catch the big game.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Nice To Haves
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
- 6+ Months of Prior Relevant Experience in a high-volume dining restaurant as a Food Runner or Server preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome
- Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef or kitchen expediter
- Describe food upon placement on the table, answering questions pertaining to the dishes
- Describe menu features as needed (include changes and additions)
- Communicate with expediter to ensure delivery of food to the correct table and position
- Perform assigned open and closing side-work
- Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen and management, inform management of guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service
- Check dining area, tables and chairs for cleanliness, maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service area
