About The Position

The Food Runner is responsible for running all food items to the proper areas for the Servers and Bartenders, removing items that guests are done with and returning them to the kitchen area. This role also involves maintaining knowledge of the menu and property information, including memorabilia. The Food Runner must uphold the Hard Rock mission statement and values, representing the establishment positively to guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining sanitation practices, restocking various items, and ensuring lost and found articles are turned into the supervisor.

Requirements

Must have basic mathematical skills.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Must be very detailed oriented.
Must project a professional and positive image.
Must have a high level of energy.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.

Responsibilities

Maintains knowledge of the menu.
Places dirty dishes and utensils in proper order.
Polishes silverware.
Helps servers restock unused condiments, sugar caddies, and salt/pepper shakers.
Makes sure all lost and found articles are turned into supervisor.
Restocks items brought to dish room to be cleaned: coffee cups, saucers, creamer cups, trays, coffee pots, glasses (wine glasses, water goblets), and silverware.
Maintains all proper sanitation practices.
Stocks and folds table napkins.
Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
Runs all food items to the proper areas for the Servers and Bartenders.
Removes items that the guests are done with and return to kitchen area.
Upholds the Mission Statement – We create authentic experiences that rock.
Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.
