About The Position

As a Buffet Runner, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the buffet area by maintaining cleanliness, restocking food items, and assisting in various additional tasks as required. You will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests by maintaining high standards of hygiene, organization, and efficiency. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when restocking buffet items.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor buffet stations to identify low stock levels and replenish food items promptly to ensure continuous availability.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to receive freshly prepared dishes and ensure they are promptly placed on the buffet line.
  • Rotate food items to maintain freshness and adhere to food safety standards.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize buffet counters, serving utensils, and sneeze guards to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Dispose of waste properly and ensure trash bins are emptied regularly.
  • Pay special attention to high-touch surfaces such as buffet handles, countertops, and condiment containers, disinfecting them frequently to minimize the spread of germs.
  • Sweep and mop the buffet area floor regularly to remove debris, spills, and stains, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Provide support to other areas of the restaurant as needed, including bussing tables, assisting servers, or attending to guest inquiries.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during peak dining hours.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks based on operational needs.
