About The Position

The Food Runner provides assistance to servers and bartenders, helping deliver orders to customers in a timely manner. The role also involves maintaining and restocking food-service stations, cleaning equipment and work areas, and performing additional essential duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong customer-service operations skills are preferred.
• Superior guest-interaction skills are preferred.
• Prior food-runner and/or restaurant experience is preferred.
• Must occasionally stand, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques are required.

Responsibilities

• Restock the alcohol fridge and station settings, including utensils, plates, cups, salt, and labeled food items.
• Wipe down and dry washed settings.
• Request more tongs and scissors when the last container is in use.
• Send beer and shot glasses, water containers, and tea kettles to the dishwasher; wash water bottle caps.
• Wipe down and sanitize stations, expo carts, the alcohol fridge, and the expo and runner stations.
• Restock place mats.
• Assist in running food to tables.
• Discard leftover food and beverages.
• Break down carriers containing salt, pepper, and sesame oil.
• Perform additional essential duties as assigned.
