About The Position

The Food Runner is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of food from the kitchen to guests at Wynn Las Vegas. This role supports front-of-house service by ensuring orders are delivered efficiently, tables are properly maintained, and communication between the kitchen and service team is seamless. The Food Runner plays a key role in maintaining service speed, accuracy, and overall guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of food service and menu items
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required work cards and licenses

Nice To Haves

  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food runner experience preferred
  • Experience in high-volume or fast-paced environments a plus

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately to maintain service efficiency
  • Ensure proper handling and presentation of food items during delivery
  • Assist servers in maintaining table satisfaction by supporting food delivery needs
  • Follow proper service timing to avoid delays and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Verify orders for accuracy before delivering to guests
  • Communicate proactively with kitchen staff and servers regarding order status
  • Relay guest needs or issues to the appropriate team members in real time
  • Assist with coordination of multiple orders during peak service periods
  • Deliver food with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor
  • Provide basic descriptions of menu items when delivering food
  • Respond to simple guest requests or direct them to the appropriate team member
  • Maintain a positive and energetic presence throughout shifts
  • Assist with stocking and maintaining service stations (plates, utensils, napkins, etc.)
  • Support opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned
  • Maintain organization of the kitchen pass/expo area
  • Ensure readiness of service equipment and materials during shifts
  • Maintain awareness of table status and dining flow to anticipate service needs
  • Assist bussers and servers with table maintenance when needed
  • Support overall team operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Adhere to all Wynn grooming, uniform, and presentation standards
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Execute all duties in accordance with Wynn policies and departmental standards
