About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the beautiful presentation and prompt delivery of dishes in a fine dining setting, adhering to MCR's values and service standards. The Food Runner will work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to provide a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests, while also maintaining a positive work environment and complying with all safety and hygiene guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.
  • A valid WA State Food Health Card/Food Handlers Permit required.
  • A valid WA State Class 12 Alcohol Permit required.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role in fine dining or upscale restaurants is preferred but not always required.
  • Food service experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience and/or training preferred.
  • Knowledge of fine dining service standards, including table settings and proper etiquette.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift trays or dishes.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Familiarity with the menu and the ability to answer guest questions about dishes.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions, both oral and written.
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service.
  • Ability to work various shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Exemplify MCR’s values and demonstrate excellent guest service and professionalism.
  • Practice, support, and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort.
  • Ensure dishes are presented beautifully and adhere to plating and presentation standards before delivery.
  • Verify order details to ensure correct dishes are delivered to the right tables and notify the kitchen of discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff for prompt delivery of hot dishes.
  • Assist in setting up and resetting tables before and after service.
  • Interact with servers and front-of-house staff to understand table status for course delivery and plate clearing.
  • Provide prompt and professional delivery of food from the kitchen to guests.
  • Comply with food safety and hygiene guidelines.
  • Assist food servers and bussers by clearing dishes and refilling beverages.
  • Perform side-work and other opening or closing duties as required.
  • Ensure wait staff stations and expediting areas are clean and maintained.
  • Collaborate with restaurant staff to provide a seamless dining experience.
  • Communicate additional guest requests to the food server immediately.
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment and promote positive team member relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
