About The Position

The Food Runner is responsible for picking up and delivering packaged food and beverage items to assigned areas within the restaurant. This role supports the kitchen and service staff to ensure the highest quality of food, presentation, and timing for an optimal guest dining experience. Additionally, the Food Runner handles transaction accounting, maintains cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and stations, and assists expediters with order preparation and delivery.

Requirements

Current Food Handlers card
Ability to interact effectively with team members
Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
Ability to appear for work on time
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
Ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions

Ability to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Picks up food and beverage items for orders placed by service staff and delivers them to guests.
Assists kitchen and service staff to maintain food quality, presentation, and timing.
Processes transactions in the point-of-sale system and follows cashier procedures.
Reports discrepancies to food services management.
Organizes and restocks plates, cups, bowls, utensils, condiments, and supplies.
Refills condiment containers.
Cleans and maintains safe and sanitary kitchen areas, including counters, shelves, trays, plate covers, floors, and trash disposal.
Reads point-of-sale tickets, ensures food is cooked to specific requests, checks plate presentation and food temperatures.
Organizes food items for delivery and ensures condiments and supplies are delivered.
Works in a smoking environment.
