Food Runner - Pool Bar - Park MGM
About The Position
As a Food Runner for Pool Bar at Park MGM, you will serve as the essential link between our bustling kitchen and the sun-drenched oasis of our retro-inspired pool deck, ensuring that every guest experience is as refreshing as our signature poolside fare. You will play a vital role in maintaining the laid-back yet sophisticated energy of this smoke-free paradise by delivering vibrant dishes with prompt, courteous tableside service, expertly detailing menu offerings to guests relaxing in their cabanas or loungers, and working seamlessly with your teammates to create unforgettable, sun-splashed moments of world-class hospitality.
Requirements
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Nice To Haves
- 6+ months of prior relevant experience in a high-volume dining restaurant as a food runner or server preferred
- Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome
- Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef or kitchen expediter
- Describe food upon placement on the table, answering questions pertaining to the dishes
- Describe menu features as needed (include changes and additions)
- Communicate with expediter to ensure delivery of food to the correct table and position
- Perform assigned open and closing side-work
- Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen and management, inform management of guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service
- Check dining area, tables and chairs for cleanliness, maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service area
