About The Position

The Food Runner supports food servers by expediting and delivering all food orders to customers in a pleasant and timely manner, according to Company and department standards. This role ensures job responsibilities are performed satisfactorily and according to department standards.

Requirements

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be team oriented.
Must be flexible, adaptable, and self-motivated.
Must be able to follow procedures and must be able to work in a busy and at times stressful restaurant atmosphere.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
S. Nevada Health District Health Card.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year experience as a Food Runner, Food Expediter, Food Server, or Dining Room Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Maintain current and accurate information regarding menu items (preparation, seasoning, ingredients, and plate presentation).
Set up food trays with food items on ticket orders for delivery to tables.
Deliver food from the kitchen to tables quickly and accurately, confirming orders match tickets.
Communicate with chefs, cooks and servers about order status, special requests, and food allergies.
Follow all established food handling health and safety regulations, including, but not limited to, the use of gloves when having direct contact with food items and keeping cleaning towels in a sanitary bucket.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace by performing regular sweeping and debris removal. Ensure floors remain clear of paper waste, food particles, and miscellaneous hazards.
Assure that all items and condiments associated with preparing food items for table delivery are stocked in a timely manner and for the next shift.
When there are no food orders, assist the Bus Persons and/or Bus Runner Stockers.
Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
