About The Position

Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club is hiring a Food Runner for its historic property in Northeast Florida. The Food Runner supports dining room service by helping servers and bartenders, preparing and resetting tables, providing initial water service to members, removing used dishes, and assisting with setup and cleaning. The role requires a professional, welcoming demeanor, punctuality, and a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The position is full-time.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant, as a private club server, or as a banquet server.
Knowledge of basic service steps, including how to wait a table.
Good understanding of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Arrive at work punctually and consistently.
Work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
Maintain a professional, welcoming demeanor and appropriate, clean, well-maintained attire, including a name tag.
Become proficient with appropriate equipment and its safety features.
Complete side work before opening.
Perform kitchen preparation and setup as outlined on side work sheets.
Assist servers with table setup.
Attend pre-shift meetings to learn daily specials and other relevant information.
Monitor bread levels in warmers and iced tea and coffee stations during the shift.
Assist servers and the bartender during the shift.
Greet members and provide initial water service.
Remove trays of dirty dishes from the dining room.
Reset tables during service.
Communicate with the Dining Room Captain and Dining Room Manager.
Perform assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties.
Set up for the next function, including moving furniture.
Check out with the Dining Room Captain and Dining Room Manager before leaving.
Perform other assigned duties that support quality member service.
