About The Position

As a Food Runner for Best Friend by Roy Choi at Park MGM, you will serve our guests with prompt, energetic table side service, bringing the vibrant, high-energy street food culture of LA's Koreatown directly to the dining room. By thoroughly understanding our bold and unique menu, you will describe each flavorful dish in a detailed, enthusiastic manner, answering guest questions with confidence and working hand-in-hand with your team to maintain Park MGM's refined, non-smoking hospitality standards.

Requirements

• Work Varied Shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

• 6+ Months of Prior Relevant Experience as a Food Runner in a high-volume dining restaurant preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome
• Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef or kitchen expediter
• Describe food upon placement on the table, answering questions pertaining to the dishes
• Describe menu features as needed (include changes and additions)
• Communicate with expediter to ensure delivery of food to the correct table and position
• Perform assigned open and closing side-work
• Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen, inform management guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service
• Check dining area, tables and chairs for cleanliness, maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service area
