About The Position

This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises. The role requires stocking and maintaining work areas, including ice, glassware, and paper supplies, as well as removing soiled dishes from tables and the bar top. Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of work areas, the bar, and associated equipment is crucial, adhering to all setup guidelines. The job also entails following company policies on safety and security, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions, and completing required safety training. A professional appearance and adherence to company standards are expected, along with maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets. The role requires interacting positively with guests, anticipating their needs, assisting those with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Clear and professional communication with colleagues is essential, as is fostering positive working relationships and supporting team goals to meet quality standards. The position requires the ability to read and interpret various formats of information, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating objects. The role may involve navigating uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs, as well as reaching, bending, and twisting. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Check with captain or supervisor before leaving at end of shift.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
  • Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
  • Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas, bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Support team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
