About The Position

Campbell’s Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Food Runner to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is a gateway to other opportunities within the company and offers a dynamic work environment, especially during the busy summer months. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to contribute to a team that prioritizes guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years old.
  • Enthusiastic about serving the public with a consistent positive attitude.
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to advance professionally.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with guests, fellow team members, and management.
  • Ability to take direction and contribute to a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to provide quick service and maintain composure under stress.
  • Good grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Self-motivated: can find work to do without constant supervision.
  • A current Washington State Food-handlers Card is required within 14 days of hire.
  • Must have the ability to become proficient at tray service.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for periods of 6 to 8 hours per shift.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 40 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
  • Must be able to go up and down a full flight of stairs with loaded trays repeatedly for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces with multiple team members.
  • Knowledge of the menu and featured items.
  • Open availability during summer months June-September.
  • Requires full open availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting servers in delivering food and requests to guests.
  • Taking care of guests and surrounding dining areas.
  • Keeping work area clean and organized.
  • Transporting prepared food from the kitchen to the guests in the dining room.
  • Relaying information to servers such as needed items and extra sides or getting those items for the guests.
  • Being aware of the flow of tickets from the kitchen and the average preparation time of each ticket.
  • Helping servers, pre-bussing tables and/or re-filling beverages for guests.
  • Acting as a team member by showing enthusiasm, helping other wait staff, and watching the entire dining room to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Following closing procedures listed in job standards.
  • Performing any other task needed to support the operations of the restaurant.
