About The Position

Then you have the magic to be Team Merlin at Merlin Entertainments! We are currently on the lookout to find fun-loving, enthusiastic individuals to join our Food and Beverage Team! As a part-time Team Merlin Food and Beverage- Food Runner/ Busser, you will work in the restaurant’s front of house, attending to guests and assisting servers or hosts with their duties. You will offer friendly and efficient tableside service to all guests, ensure that all items are served properly and on a timely basis, and assist in set-up and tear-down of front-of-house restaurant operations. You will deliver the highest possible standards of guest service, presentation, and product knowledge. You will ensure that our guests are receiving optimal fun by connecting with them in a magical, fun, and safe environment.

Requirements

Experience in the restaurant, food-service, or hospitality industry preferred.
Fun, dynamic, and friendly personality.
Excellent communication, listening, and motivational skills.
Hospitable nature with a desire to give service of the highest possible level.
Able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces.
Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged hours and interact with guests and employees in a fast-paced, multitask environment in variable temperatures and weather conditions.
Must be able to pass a Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Exam within 30-days of employment.

Responsibilities

Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to Guest Service, and demonstrates the Merlin Values at every opportunity.
May be responsible for taking, placing, and serving orders in a section or multiple sections.
Assists in removing used plates, glasses, and cutlery at the completion of the diners’ meal, refilling drinks and other dining items as needed, and delivering meals.
Must understand and meet all guest expectations and be able to effectively communication and provide services to guests in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
Assists in set-up and tear-down of tables and service stations within the front and back of house as well as maintains cleanliness of dining area during service hours.
Must follow all state laws and license restrictions governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace, including COVID-19 policies, practices, and regulations.
