Sharing Excess is one of the fastest-growing food rescue organizations in America, built on a simple but powerful mission: save food and feed communities. What started as a student startup now operates across the country, distributing 2 million pounds of food every week (100 million pounds annually) to thousands of community partners nationwide. Our work is visionary, impactful, and deeply human. We move quickly, think creatively, and operate like a high-growth startup. We’ve partnered with some of the biggest names and brands on the planet (MrBeast, Tony Robbins, Billie Eilish, Dole) to bring awareness to our mission. Now we’re seeking individuals to join our team who can deliver with excellence, raise the bar, and are (above all) passionate about making the world a better place. The Program Coordinator will serve as a critical on-the-ground leader for Sharing Excess’ operations at the Produce Market. This role is embedded in the market daily, building relationships with vendors, coordinating food rescue logistics, and ensuring surplus food moves quickly and efficiently to community partners across the five boroughs. You will be the face of Sharing Excess within the produce market— strengthening vendor trust, solving operational challenges in real time, coordinating volunteers, and helping scale one of the most impactful food rescue programs in the area. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and deeply relational. Your work will directly translate into thousands of pounds of food reaching families and communities every single day.
