About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Production Manager for Nebraska Medicine Hospital in Omaha, NE. The Food Production Manager will oversee catering and general kitchen management for the medical campus. This strategic leader will come with a background in catering and have a proven ability to lead and develop teams in a culinary setting.

Requirements

  • Experience managing a team in a high-volume environment
  • Food service environment
  • Catering and kitchen experience
  • Strong management skills
  • Menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends
  • Proficient computer skills, highly organized, and detail-focused
  • A proven ability to set up processes, create efficiencies, and solve problems with little to no direction
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Manage food production for catering and retail food service outlets
  • Help implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor frontline staff
  • Assist with scheduling and time-keeping
  • Ordering and inventory
  • Help create menus based on client needs
  • Help create interpersonal relationships with clients
