About The Position

Creating solutions for everything from dining and nutrition to facilities maintenance and rehabilitative services, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to improve people’s quality of life and make a positive impact. Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Production Manager 3 to join our team at the US Marine Corps located at Camp Lejeune, NC. The Food Production Manager will be responsible for inventory management and procurement of food and supplies at this account to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. The production manager will manage food production through kitchen staff and will contribute to account revenue and operating profit through contribution through cost containment and safety.

  • Work history demonstrating strong leadership skills
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Culinary production experience
  • Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional communication skills
  • Passion for a high level of customer service
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Experienced with menu planning & forecasting processes
  • Understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HACCP forms, temperature logs, safety audits, inventory management, etc.)
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years minimum management experience
  • 1 year minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the food service program at a long standing Govt contracts Mess Hall
  • Manage food production through kitchen staff
  • Contribute to account revenue and operating profit through contribution through cost containment and safety
  • Inventory management and procurement of food and supplies
  • Act as the number two when the Operations Manager is off site
  • Promote and mentor his/her team to excellence
  • Ensure Sodexo Standards are met
