The Food Prep Lead is responsible for ensuring food deliveries are accurate, stocked, attractively displayed, and priced correctly, while maximizing sales, profitability, and customer service. This role involves preparing displays, rotating food items, monitoring quality and freshness, and maintaining the food preparation area and display cases. The Food Prep Lead also assists in training new associates, manages inventory to prevent stockouts, and coaches staff on suggestive selling techniques. They are responsible for making price changes, placing signage, and providing prompt, excellent customer service. Additionally, they prepare and serve quality food and beverages, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and handle financial controls related to inventory and product breakage. In the absence of the Store Manager, they supervise food prep employees, assist with employee counseling and feedback, monitor customer traffic, and ensure adherence to all government laws, health and safety codes, and company policies. They also assist in maintaining a safe environment and protecting company assets, reporting all incidents and potential misconduct. Administrative duties include attending meetings, fostering cooperation, complying with policies, and performing other duties as assigned.
