About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Homeless Services and Family Support Services, the Driver will coordinate Tri-Valley Haven’s Food Pantry. This position is responsible for the collection, processing, and distribution of in-kind donations and food for the Food Pantry.

Requirements

  • High School required.
  • Customer Service skills required.
  • Ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of violence against women and children, and homelessness.
  • A CA Driver’s License and a good MVR is required.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate pick-up of food and other items for the Food Pantry.
  • Keep facility free of clutter and unsorted donations.
  • Responsible for picking up approximately 30,000 pounds of food donations per month for distribution to clients experiencing food insecurity.
  • Assists with unloading and weighing food donations.
  • Assists with sorting and shelving donated food.
  • Assist clients during food distribution.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Assists with TVH special events as required by Director Homeless Services and Family Support Services.
  • Have a valid California driver’s license and an insured automobile that employee will use as necessary for agency related business.
  • Must maintain a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in order to be able to drive for the agency.
  • Performs general tasks as needed and represents Tri-Valley Haven in a professional manner.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Office Manager and/or the Executive Director within the scope of Tri-Valley Haven’s Mission.
