About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Homeless Services and Family Support Services, the Driver will coordinate Tri-Valley Haven’s Food Pantry. This position is responsible for the collection, processing, and distribution of in-kind donations and food for the Food Pantry.

Requirements

High School required.
Customer Service skills required.
Ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
Knowledge of violence against women and children, and homelessness.
A CA Driver’s License and a good MVR is required.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Coordinate pick-up of food and other items for the Food Pantry.
Keep facility free of clutter and unsorted donations.
Responsible for picking up approximately 30,000 pounds of food donations per month for distribution to clients experiencing food insecurity.
Assists with unloading and weighing food donations.
Assists with sorting and shelving donated food.
Assist clients during food distribution.
Attend meetings as required.
Assists with TVH special events as required by Director Homeless Services and Family Support Services.
Have a valid California driver’s license and an insured automobile that employee will use as necessary for agency related business.
Must maintain a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in order to be able to drive for the agency.
Performs general tasks as needed and represents Tri-Valley Haven in a professional manner.
Other tasks as assigned by the Office Manager and/or the Executive Director within the scope of Tri-Valley Haven’s Mission.
