About The Position

Assist in all steps of weekly food distributions at our Penndel, PA pantry; including ordering, stocking, storing, cleaning, set-up, break-down, pick-ups, etc. Help with data collection and final reporting. Help provide information and support to external constituents and volunteers. Uphold the Bucks County Housing Group’s mission by interacting thoughtfully and respectfully with pantry patrons and volunteers.

Requirements

  • Interest in hunger and poverty issues, community education and building stronger, food secure communities.
  • Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and ages, including kids and teens.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and comfortability using new technology as needed.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently, with or without supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with diverse groups of people.
  • Personal transportation when needed.
  • Routinely required to lift 25-50 lbs.
  • Some local travel and field trips are necessary.
  • Must pass State and FBI background check.
