About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are produced efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards. The work environment includes a food manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, and food allergens. Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hairnets, beard nets, and safety glasses.

Requirements

• Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic machinery
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot/cold environments)

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or food production preferred
• Experience operating machinery in a production environment

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust machinery according to production specifications
• Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation and product quality
• Perform routine equipment checks and minor troubleshooting
• Ensure all products meet company quality standards and specifications
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work area
• Assist with changeovers, line setup, and breakdowns
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisor immediately
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
