About The Position

The Food Farmacy Associate supports daily operations of a food-as-medicine program by packaging and delivering food to patients, coordinating deliveries and documentation in the EHR based on the task. This role involves a mix of hands-on work, including packaging food bags according to program guidelines, and time spent on the road for deliveries. The associate will be responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering food to patients safely and on schedule, verifying deliveries, and maintaining accurate logs and documentation. Communication with patients and team members regarding deliveries, issues, and delays is crucial, as is providing friendly and respectful service during patient interactions. The role supports overall Food Farmacy operations as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Maryland resident
Individuals eligible for the Maryland Service Year Program (generally ages 18–24)
Safe driving practices and a clean driving record
Time management and ability to meet delivery schedules
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to lift and carry bags (typically 25–50 lbs)
Basic inventory tracking and documentation skills
Customer service and communication skills
Reliability and punctuality
Problem-solving skills and adaptability in the field
Familiarity with GPS/navigation tools

Responsibilities
