About The Position
Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, an award winning family friendly resort located in Highland, NY, is seeking a Food Expeditor to ensure the smooth flow of orders and efficient delivery of service. You will communicate with our chefs and waitstaff, and inspect the quality of every dish served. This is a 50+ hours/week position, and OT eligible. You will also jump in the line to assist in prep when necessary.
Requirements
- Prior experience as food expeditor, or in a similar position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be a strong team player who works in conjunction and cohesively with others and under the direction of the Executive Chef
- Ability to work on your feet throughout the day
- Flexible working availability including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Call out orders to the chefs and prepare dishes for delivery, ensuring each team member receives the correct orders
- Work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen serving up to 500 guests per meal
- Monitor the quality of all dishes served; make final preparations on dishes
- Ensure all food, health, and safety regulations are rigorously maintained
- Assist food and beverage team where needed
