About The Position
The Mimosa House is looking for a reliable, energetic Food Expediter (Expo) to join our Rancho Cordova team! The Expo plays an important role in keeping our kitchen and front-of-house running smoothly by ensuring every plate is accurate, complete, and ready to be delivered to our guests. This is a fast-paced position that requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized during busy brunch shifts.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of the shift
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
Responsibilities
- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and service team
- Check all dishes for accuracy, presentation, and completeness before they leave the kitchen
- Ensure modifications, allergies, sides, and special requests are followed correctly
- Organize completed orders by table and ticket
- Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, and management
- Assist with running food to tables when needed
- Help maintain a clean and organized expo station
- Stock plates, condiments, sauces, and other necessary items throughout the shift
- Maintain a sense of urgency during high-volume periods
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company standards
