Food Distribution Program Assistant

Reno-Sparks Indian ColonyReno, NV
$19 - $20Onsite

About The Position

The Food Distribution Program Assistant supports the RSIC Diabetes Program by helping keep weekly food distribution running smoothly and safely for participants. Most weeks center on the Thursday distribution window (8am–4pm), with an additional shorter shift potentially scheduled on another day to focus on data entry. You'll arrive early enough to get the space ready, connect with the team, and keep the pace steady as participants arrive. During the event, you'll move between the distribution area, clinic-related needs, and vehicles, offering calm, respectful assistance-especially for elders and participants who may need extra help. Between arrivals, you'll update logs and organize paperwork, so information is accurate and easy to pull for reports. If pickups or deliveries are on the calendar, you'll head out and return to close out the day by confirming mileage entries and leaving the area reset for the next week.
