The Food Court Cook is responsible for the fast and sanitary preparation of all menu items following established recipes and standards. This role involves communicating with team members about menu item availability, ensuring cleanliness of work areas, and cross-training colleagues. The cook controls food production, including proper cooking methods, time, and temperature, and ensures proper sanitation, handling, and storage of food. They demonstrate competent product knowledge, oversee the care and cleaning of tools and equipment, and may provide relief assistance to Sous Chefs. The cook also recognizes and corrects product discrepancies, completes station checklists, prepares for rush periods, controls waste, and assists with kitchen operations.
