About The Position

The Food Court Barista is responsible for providing food and beverage services out of the Coastal Roasters food outlet. This role involves prompt and accurate completion of food and beverage orders, continuous monitoring of guest needs, and maintaining quality and accuracy. The barista will learn all functions of Coastal Roasters, stay knowledgeable about menu items, and provide suggestions to guests. Responsibilities also include opening and closing the outlet, stocking, completing side work, sanitizing equipment, processing payments, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Exceptional guest service, a positive attitude, and adherence to health and hygiene policies are crucial. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides prompt service to guests, completing food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitors guests needs on a continual basis, ensuring quality and accuracy of orders.
  • Understands and learns all functions of Coastal Roasters.
  • Remains knowledgeable on all menu items, giving suggestions and assistance to guests as needed.
  • Opens and closes Coastal Roasters as scheduled, ensuring areas are properly stocked and ready for next shift.
  • Completes side work duties and document on necessary forms.
  • Sanitizes and deep cleans display cases, fridges, freezers and other equipment used for food/beverage products.
  • Processes payments and monitors cash drawer for organization while keeping the drawer balanced.
  • Demonstrates exceptional guest service by having an excellent attitude when dealing with guests and Team Members.
  • Closely follows the F&B department health and personal hygiene policy.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
