About The Position

The Courtyard by Marriott Boise West/Meridian is currently seeking an experienced, knowledgeable and independent-working Front of House Food and Beverage Supervisor to assist in the day-to-day supervision of the operations of the F&B department, including the Bistro and banquet department. We expect this leader will exceed and understand all Marriott brand standards and ensure the departments are run efficiently with high standards and accountability. Requirements

  • Previous front of house F&B experience required
  • Excellent Guest Service, Computer and Communication Skills are required via verbal, written and electronic means

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest quality of customer service to all guests during the service within outlets.
  • Under the direction of the General Manager and Executive Chef, lead the F&B team in all outlets including banquet events and Bistro operations.
  • Additionally assist all guests with requests, needs and issues related to meal periods and with general information.
  • Directly interact with hotel guests to provide exemplary service and attend to all needs.
  • Lead the Bistro and Banquet teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain proper cleanliness and uphold Marriott standards at all times.
  • Ensure Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are set up correctly and executed to meet client expectations.
  • Actively participate in banquet processes and be able to cover shifts in the Bistro as needed.
  • Create banquet schedules, post charges, and upsell to clients when appropriate.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients during banquets and troubleshoot any banquet-related issues.
  • Assist in developing menus for both the Bistro and Catering.
  • Support the rollout and review of Marriott Food & Beverage initiatives and programs.
  • Assist with ordering supplies as required.
  • Maintain open availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimize food and supply waste.
  • Receive, verify, and store incoming stock as needed.
  • Prepare workstations for the next meal period.
  • Handle cash, guestroom charges, and credit card transactions in accordance with hotel SOPs.
