About The Position

Under the direction and guidance of the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Supervisor encourages guest and staff loyalty by providing an engaging, dynamic, and fun experience for all guests and staff. This role is responsible for restaurant operations during the shift in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager. They are welcome to market ideas to promote business, reduce employee turnover, and increase guest satisfaction while keeping quality consistently high. Requirements

  • 2+ years of food and beverage management experience with a strong emphasis on guest experience.
  • Ability to work weekends, mornings, weekdays, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with POS systems (Toast preferred).
  • ServSafe Manager and TIPS (or equivalent) certified or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Must be 21+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and operationally disciplined.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer skills.
  • Positive and productive working relationships with entire staff of the property.

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree or equivalent in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred
  • One to two years in a public contact position in an upscale restaurant or lifestyle brand hotel
  • Proventrack record of implementing systems, processes, or training programs

Responsibilities

  • Be the Ambassador of the Property, Guest Advocate, Gracious Host and Staff Cheerleader within the Property and the local community.
  • Spend 95% of day/night in guest service areas interacting with guests and the staff.
  • Monitor servers, runners, and other restaurant staff and ensure adherence to all service standards and SOPs, including inspecting staff for correct, clean, complete uniforms and general appearance standards.
  • Supervise service for guests and be watchful of signals from guests in need of service.
  • Assist manager to establish and monitor side-work duty completion.
  • Supervise daily guest service functions to sustain courteous and professional guest service levels.
  • Read daily communication sheets from the previous shift and prepare one for the following shift.
  • Check for all personnel call offs and check floor plan for coverage.
  • Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up. This includes service stands, aisle areas, and tables for cleanliness and proper set up.
  • Communicate daily with restaurant manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc.
  • Consistently monitor the quality of service and product delivered in the guest service areas.
  • Hold staff accountable for giving an Engaging Dynamic Guest Experience based on Hotel and Restaurant Standards.
  • Assess employee performance and provide feedback periodically based on hotel standards.
  • Resolve guest complaints in a satisfactory manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.
