About The Position

Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager(s), this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the front of house Food & Beverage operations at the location. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and provides a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and guests. Delivers performance reviews for direct reports. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Requirements

  • Post Secondary education in hospitality or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years Food & Beverage experience, lead or supervisory role an asset
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office; POS experience
  • Must be able to successfully complete NB Responsible Beverage Certification
  • Good organizational and time management skills is required
  • Must be able to implement strategic vision and plan into day-to-day operations.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) knowledge is an asset
  • Wine and beverage knowledge an asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) an asset

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day operation of the assigned outlet in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the front of house Food & Beverage operations on a shift basis of a multi-venue location; assists with the development of performance objectives and delivers performance reviews for direct reports as necessary.
  • Schedules and supervises employees; verifies time and attendance; assigns shift work assignments; ensures appropriate coverage while minimizing operating costs.
  • Completes shift reports for management and for the next shift; tracks quality and guest issues and reports to management.
  • Assesses guest alcohol consumption to determine removal or restriction decisions and delivers message to guest.
  • Orders front of house supplies as required; may participate in monthly inventory count.
  • Offers F&B expertise to internal and external customers.
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments and employees.
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management, employees and vendors.
  • Monitors appearance of food served and communicates deviations from standard to the Kitchen Supervisor.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
