Plan and manage the hotel F&B functions to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. This position is responsible for short and long-term planning and day-to-day operations of the F&B areas. The manager will develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans, and objectives, and manage within those approved plans. The role emphasizes warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance to ensure guests feel they have made the right choice. Key responsibilities include managing human resources to attract, retain, and motivate employees; hiring, training, developing, empowering, coaching, and counseling staff; conducting performance and salary reviews; resolving problems; providing open communication; and implementing disciplinary actions or terminations as appropriate. The manager will also develop, recommend, implement, and manage the group's annual budget, business/marketing plan, forecasts, and objectives. They will implement company and local programs and procedures, ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and all federal, state, and local laws. Resolving customer complaints to maintain high satisfaction and quality is crucial. The role involves complying with emergency procedures, training staff on safety, and managing the maintenance and sanitation of the front and back of the house to protect assets and ensure quality service. The manager will also assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence.
