About The Position

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Great Wolf standards across all front-of-house food and beverage operations. This role provides leadership to Supervisors and Pack Members, fostering a culture that prioritizes exceptional guest service while driving revenue growth.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable of current industry trends and directions.
• Proficient in POS systems and computer software.
• Proven success in achieving financial targets through budgeting and forecasting.
• Smart Serve certified.
• Capable of walking, standing, sitting, crawling, bending, twisting, reaching up to and including above shoulder level, crouching/squatting, and kneeling, for the duration of your shift.
• Capable of climbing multiple flights of stairs.
• Dexterity of the fingers and hands with ability to squeeze hands, twist and rotate wrists and elbows.
• Ability to do weight bearing tasks with arms, ex. lifting/using heavy pans, baking sheets, food pans etc.
• Ability to work for extended periods in varying temperature ranges.
• Ability to work in coolers or freezers for short periods of time.
• Ability to do repetitive tasks for an extended period of time.
• Visual acuity to see colour, near vision ability, tactile, smell and tasting abilities.
• Capable of working in a loud environment.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 80lbs.
• Ability to lift 15lbs overhead.
• Newly hired Pack Members must submit a completed police clearance to Human Resources. Employment may begin before the results are received, based on the Pack Member’s confirmation that they have no unpardoned criminal convictions. If the clearance reveals a conviction, the employer may terminate employment on a case-by-case basis, providing only the minimum notice required under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, with no additional notice or compensation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front-of-house Food & Beverage operations, including inventory control, forecasting, scheduling, administration, and payroll.
• Create and maintain training materials for FOH service team members.
• Plan and manage seating areas designated for F&B consumption only.
• Provide leadership through accountability, positive motivation, and ongoing development of Pack Members.
• Support the selection, orientation, training, scheduling, recognition, coaching, and discipline of Pack Members.
• Communicate expectations clearly and provide timely performance feedback to support team success.
• Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to communicate changes and operational needs in real time.
• Contribute to department and organizational goals through effective leadership and operational excellence.
• Ensure all department performance reviews are completed.
• Ensure guests are greeted and acknowledged consistently, adhering to the 10/5 Rule.
• Collaborate with vendors to enhance guest experiences through sponsored events.
• Demonstrate creativity in marketing, menu development, and execution of unique events.
• Foster a dynamic service culture that delights guests and exceeds expectations.
• Ensure professional and efficient guest service, responding promptly to reasonable requests.
• Maintain active floor presence to engage guests and gather feedback on service, food, and overall experience.
• Design and support a service-focused environment that promotes excellence and guest satisfaction.
• Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Protecting company assets by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Contribute to strategic planning by supporting operational standards in productivity, quality, and customer service while resolving issues as they arise.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance operational and service efficiency.
• Drive sales by identifying and addressing current and future customer needs.
• Protect outlet assets by following established security policies and procedures.
