About The Position

The Food & Beverage Manager at The Ellison Hotel is responsible for overseeing all aspects of F&B operations to ensure exceptional quality, service, and profitability. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations to deliver an outstanding guest experience. The manager will collaborate closely with the culinary team, suppliers, and other departments to optimize menu offerings and operational efficiency. They will analyze financial reports and implement cost control measures to meet budgetary goals. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving the overall success of the food and beverage division within the organization. This position will actively participate in and provide data for monthly financial reviews, influence social and community marketing campaigns, and have a direct impact on the service standards of the Food & Beverage operation. This role serves as a member of the property's Senior Leadership team, and may have ancillary supervisory responsibility beyond the Food & Beverage operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and analyze financial reports.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory management software and POS systems.
  • Background in event planning and catering services.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in food and beverage operations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to optimize efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of food and beverage staff.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain inventory levels and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and event teams to plan and execute promotions and special events.
  • Analyze customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
