About The Position

Elysee New York is seeking an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this leader will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving operational excellence, developing team members, and maximizing financial performance across all food and beverage operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a luxury environment and has a passion for service, leadership, and creating memorable experiences for guests.

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive Food & Beverage experience in an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience overseeing restaurant and bar operations.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service and achieving financial objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and inventory controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a luxury hotel, boutique hotel, or fine dining environment.
  • Experience within the New York City hospitality market.
  • Food Safety Manager Certification and TIPS Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience with Micros or similar POS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, lounge, and in-room dining.
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through visible leadership and active engagement with guests.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance service and overall guest experience.
  • Maintain the highest standards of service, cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality.
  • Assist service teams during peak periods to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management for the Food & Beverage department.
  • Monitor labor costs, food costs, and beverage costs to maximize profitability.
  • Participate in monthly beverage and retail inventories.
  • Participate in quarterly china, glassware, and silverware inventories.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory controls to minimize waste and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop food and beverage team members.
  • Create a positive and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Address employee concerns and performance issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure team members understand and execute all service standards and operating procedures.
  • Partner with hotel leadership to create and execute promotions that drive food and beverage revenue.
  • Support special events, local partnerships, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Catering teams to maximize guest experiences and business opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance revenue while maintaining exceptional service standards.
