Glenwood Hot Springs ResortGlenwood Springs, CO
$85,000 - $90,000Onsite

About The Position

Glenwood Hot Springs Resort — home of the world's largest hot springs pool, welcoming guests since 1888 — is hiring a Food & Beverage Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our F&B outlets, including the Grill, seasonal Snack Bar, and Red Brick Eats. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be on the floor during service, leading the team, solving problems in real time, and owning the guest experience — while also managing schedules, costs, and standards behind the scenes. You'll work alongside and report to our Senior Food & Beverage Manager, with real ownership of your outlets and a clear path to grow.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of restaurant or food service management experience — high-volume, fast-casual, or resort setting strongly preferred
  • A working leader — comfortable jumping onto the line or the register when the team needs you
  • Proven ability to hire, train, and retain hourly teams in a competitive labor market
  • Strong grasp of food cost, labor cost, inventory, and scheduling fundamentals
  • ServSafe® Manager certification (or ability to obtain promptly); knowledge of safe alcohol service
  • Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure, with a positive, get-it-done attitude
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office); POS and F&B management software experience a plus
  • Flexible availability — evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands, adaptable to seasonal volume
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Run daily service across F&B outlets — be visible, present, and engaged on the floor during peak volume
  • Open and close outlets to standard; serve in the Manager on Duty rotation for the department
  • Keep facilities, equipment, and service areas clean, stocked, safe, and guest-ready at all times
  • Step in wherever needed — line, counter, or register — and set the pace by example
  • Hire, train, schedule, and coach a team of cooks, hosts/cashiers, and attendants
  • Build a positive, accountable team culture — clear expectations, regular feedback, and recognition for people who deliver
  • Run pre-shift huddles and staff meetings; ensure every employee is trained to standard, including food safety and guest service
  • Address performance issues promptly, fairly, and with proper documentation, in partnership with HR
  • Champion GHSR guest service standards — train them, model them, and hold the team to them
  • Monitor real-time service (line speed, order accuracy, cleanliness) and fix friction points fast
  • Resolve guest concerns on the spot and follow up on feedback and survey results
  • Manage food, beverage, and labor costs to targets; control waste and portioning
  • Handle purchasing, inventory, and vendor receiving; keep pars stocked without over-buying
  • Support menu planning, pricing, and promotions with the Senior F&B Manager
  • Ensure full compliance with health department, food safety (ServSafe®), alcohol service, and labor regulations — clean inspections, every time

Benefits

  • Hot springs pool pass for you and your family
  • Employee discounts on food, retail, and lodging
  • Tuition reimbursement program
  • Genuine advancement opportunity within a growing F&B leadership team
