Perched above the San Gabriel Valley, Luminarias Restaurant and Events is a destination known for breathtaking views, vibrant Latin-inspired cuisine, a creative bar program, and warm hospitality. Requirements

  • 3+ years of banquet management experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant environment ($10M+), at least 2 of which were at banquet manager level or higher.
  • A dedication to providing exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Strong skills in financial management, inventory control, and staff development.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that align with our brand and exceed guest expectations.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on leadership style.
  • 2 years' experience in a similar level managerial role in a high-volume restaurant environment is required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns.
  • Solid knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office and restaurant management software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless service and an exceptional dining experience.
  • Manage a high-volume restaurant, implementing strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals.
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing team through training, mentorship, and accountability.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction while managing operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to enhance the upscale dining atmosphere Castaway is known for.
  • Assist in overseeing daily restaurant, banquet, and bar operations to ensure seamless service, strong financial performance, and an exceptional guest experience.
  • Train, supervise, and support staff to deliver excellent customer service while upholding the restaurant's high standards.
  • Oversee banquet operations, ensuring successful execution of events, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
  • Hiring and training banquet employees in order to elevate standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring proper stock of ingredients, supplies, beverages, and equipment.
  • Provide bar program oversight to ensure quality, consistency, and execution across all beverage offerings.
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation, timely service, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner to ensure satisfaction and build lasting relationships.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
  • Support budget planning, cost control, and overall financial management.
