We’re hiring a Food & Beverage Inventory Specialist to Live. Work. Explore. in Mount Rushmore! The Food and Beverage Inventory Specialist will place orders, unload and put away deliveries, receive items in the system for the Food & Beverage department.

Requirements

  • Previous food handling and inventory experience preferred
  • Must have or be able to obtain within 15 days from hire, ServSafe Food Handler certification
  • Working knowledge of all products used to include: how to handle, how and where to store, how long it will last.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to accomplish common tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to use a computer including Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word) and CloudSuite ordering system.
  • Willing to “pitch-in” and help the team with tasks.
  • Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work.
  • Constantly standing, walking, and handling.
  • Frequently reaching outward, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally sitting, reaching over shoulder, climbing, crawling, lifting/carry over 100 pounds, and pushing/pulling over 41 - 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Place orders with approved vendors based on par sheets using Company system and processes.
  • Accept and inspect deliveries to ensure quality and that the order matches what is received.
  • Put away delivered items.
  • Receives items in the Company system following set processes.
  • Establish and maintain order in all walk-in coolers, freezers, dry storage areas, food and non-food storage areas, including following up after other staff and removal of empty containers.
  • Rotate product in all areas to represent a first in, first out philosophy of product usage.
  • Assist with the physical count of all food inventory items at the end of each fiscal period and as directed.
  • Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures.
