About The Position
River Rock Casino is currently looking for a self-motivated, friendly and customer-focused individual as F&B Host. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting guests in a prompt and courteous manner. He/she will also be seating guests while ensuring a balanced workload among servers. He/she will maintain an accurate waiting list and perform updates as needed and alert guests when a table has become available.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Food & Beverage experience
- POS experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Ability to obtain the criminal background check
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
- A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

Responsibilities
- Seating guests in the area of choice and distributing menus
- Advising guests of daily and weekly specials
- Explaining how various menu items or beverages are prepared if applicable
- Assisting with cleaning tables or counters, removing dishes and re-stocking when required
- Performing opening and closing duties as required
- Maintaining accurate records, waitlists and reservations
- Maximizing seating
- Performing cashier duties if applicable
- Ensuring table availability by communicating with bussing staff
- Liaising and communicating effectively with other operational departments
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
