About The Position

The Food and Beverage (F&B) organization consists of over 300 different restaurants committed to delivering excellence in mountain dining as part of the overall ski experience. We believe F&B leaders should have a strong working knowledge of both front and back of house operations, supported by top-tier central programs, training, and support. Therefore, our in-resort Manager-level F&B leaders are responsible for the entire restaurant operation, including both front and back of house. The Manager is accountable for achieving operational excellence in guest and employee experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of restaurant experience with at least 1 year at a managerial level
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Leadership, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40+ lbs.
  • TIPS certification required within 30 days of employment
  • Serve Safe Food Protection Manager certification required within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

  • Sets an example for all staff in service standards, menu knowledge, wine and beverage education, and overall service excellence.
  • Works on the restaurant floor, exceeding guest satisfaction while completing management reports related to revenue, tip disbursements and recording, scheduling, ordering products and equipment, payroll, inventory, and maintaining the daily logbook.
  • Fully understands and implements all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs for Mountain Dining.
  • Ensures all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Achieves company goals in sales, service, quality, facility appearance, and cleanliness by training staff and fostering a positive, productive work environment.
  • Manages credit card transactions and other receipts by following reconciliation procedures in line with restaurant policies.
  • Makes employment and termination recommendations aligned with company guidelines for review.
  • Fills in as needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Continually works to develop staff in all aspects of restaurant operation and professional growth.
  • Prepares all necessary paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules, in an organized and timely manner.
  • Keeps equipment clean and in excellent condition through personal inspections, timely work-order submissions, and adherence to preventative maintenance programs.
  • Oversees and ensures compliance with restaurant policies regarding employee performance appraisals, ensuring they are completed on time.
  • Schedules labor based on expected business activity, ensuring all positions are staffed as needed while meeting labor cost targets.
  • Understands restaurant policies regarding personnel issues and administers prompt, fair, and consistent corrective actions for policy violations.
  • Fully complies with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations related to health, safety, and labor laws affecting the restaurant, employees, and guests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
