About The Position

Under limited supervision, this role participates in the inventory, preparation, and service of Snack Bar operations while ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards of quality and safety. The position involves preparing, cooking, and serving food and beverages, maintaining clean service areas, washing dishes, and operating a point of sale system. Additionally, the role requires taking measures to prevent food waste and exercising care and safety in the use of all equipment and utensils.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable of DHEC, ServSafe and SC laws and regulations
• Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification; will train
• ServSafe Alcohol Certification: will train
• Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training; will train
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be 21 years of age or older to prepare, serve, and sell alcohol

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to food and beverage safety and with kitchen equipment/tools
• Assist in maintaining inventory, restocking, and proper storage of food and beverage items and supplies
• Prepares, cooks and serves food and beverages in a timely manner
• Participates in maintaining clean dining and service areas; assists with washing dishes and kitchen equipment, etc.
• Takes measures to prevent food waste
• Efficiently operates point of sale system
• Operates a variety of kitchen/serving utensils and supplies while exercising care and safety in the use of all equipment
• Other duties as assigned
