About The Position

This position is responsible for completing assigned duties and tasks professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner. The technician must have a thorough understanding of The Veranda Cafe and Vending operations. Key responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, managing cash handling and register operations, adhering to food handling and sanitation requirements, preparing Starbucks beverages according to protocol, and maintaining sanitation and cleanliness. The role also involves recording food service and DHEC reports, logs, and records, and upholding all DHEC/DNV regulations related to food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning, and sanitation. The ability to multi-task and work at a fast, consistent pace is essential.

Requirements

• Must have a thorough understanding of The Veranda Cafe and Vending.
• Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of cash register/cash handling, food handling and sanitation requirements per Food & Nutrition policies and procedures.
• Must be able to multi-task and work at a fast consistent pace.
• High school diploma/GED or one year applicable food service experience.
• Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions regarding logs, sanitation, customer service and infection control policies.
• Pushing weights up to 200#.
• Constant standing and walking are necessary.
• Must exemplify good personal hygiene and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Services all customers using exceptional customer service skills.
• Responsible for preparing Starbuck's beverages per Starbucks protocol.
• Responsible for sanitation and cleanliness.
• Records food service and DHEC reports, logs and records as related to the Veranda Cafe and Vending.
• Upholds all DHEC/DNV regulation in regard to food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning and sanitation.
