About The Position

This is a full-time, 1st shift position for a Food and Nutrition Tech. The role requires the individual to complete assigned duties professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner. A thorough understanding of Catering and Retail Services is essential, along with exceptional customer service skills. The position also demands comprehensive knowledge of catering standards, customer service, cash register/cash handling, and food handling and sanitation requirements in accordance with Food & Nutrition policies and procedures. Responsibilities may extend to supporting the Veranda Cafe, including preparing Starbucks beverages according to protocol. The role is responsible for maintaining sanitation and cleanliness, and requires the ability to multi-task and work at a fast, consistent pace. Duties include recording food service and DHEC reports, logs, and records related to the Veranda Cafe and Vending. The position holder must uphold all DHEC/DNV regulations concerning food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning, and sanitation, as well as proper personal and hand hygiene practices. Any identified problems must be relayed to the Coordinator/Specialist/Management promptly. Flexibility with schedule times is required, and the individual will complete any other duties assigned by their Supervisor, Coordinator, or Management.

Requirements

  • Must have a thorough understanding of Catering and Retail Services.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of catering standards and customers, cash register/cash handling, food handling and sanitation requirements per Food & Nutrition policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work at a fast consistent pace.

Nice To Haves

  • May be required to support Veranda, to include preparation of Starbuck's beverages per Starbucks protocol.
