About The Position

This position involves completing opening and closing duties, setting up and maintaining cleanliness of the service counter and surrounding areas, stocking supplies, preparing food and beverages, processing customer orders and payments, and ensuring adherence to company and safety standards. The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Associates are expected to maintain a professional appearance and uphold company policies and asset protection.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific licenses or certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises.
  • Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the counter, tables, and other tools.
  • Stock and maintain work areas, including ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
  • Transport supplies to the beverage set-up area.
  • Wash soiled glassware and remove soiled wares from counter and tables.
  • Input customer orders into the cash register system and collect payment.
  • Take orders, record them in the MICROS system, dispense beverages, and prepare food and coffee.
  • Present orders to guests in a timely and standard-compliant manner.
  • Ensure appliances like coffee makers are turned on and off appropriately.
  • Bus counter areas and tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas, counter, tables, and tools according to guidelines.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day.
  • Obtain necessary change for expected business levels.
  • Count bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, submit receipts, and secure the bank.
  • Secure beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
  • Follow all company and safety/security policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure personal appearance and uniforms are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Support the team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Read and visually verify information in various formats.
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or entire work shift.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Perform all other reasonable job duties as requested.
