About The Position

We are now seeking motivated and enthusiastic professionals to join our team as integral members. As the food and beverage Manager for the Hotel Oceana Santa Monica, you directly supervise all food and beverage staff and ensure unparalleled food service for both the restaurant and room service. Requirements

  • At least three years of food service experience at a luxury restaurant.
  • Two years of food and beverage experience (with at least one year in a supervisory role) in an elevated dining operation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or other related areas of study.
  • At least two years of food and beverage experience in a luxury food-service environment is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Food handling certifications (ServSafe) required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Treats all guests with the highest level of concern and care; demonstrates a natural disposition towards personal and public safety; operates from a place of integrity, honesty, and ethics.
  • Able and willing to maintain regular attendance and punctuality to ensure all essential duties are fulfilled.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write and speak clearly.
  • Treats everyone with respect and dignity, accepts responsibility and takes ownership of tasks, follows through on commitments, takes initiative and maintains confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Able to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds; occasionally needs to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Able to use hands to use and manipulate tools and objects or control equipment; adequate vision to do the same safely.
  • Able to move about the property to perform assigned tasks and responsibilities, including standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, or crouching to perform functions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the restaurant’s day-to-day operations.
  • Maximize the restaurant’s profitability through adequate staff, vendor, and inventory management.
