About The Position

The Press Hotel, under new ownership and management by EOS Hospitality, is seeking a Food and Beverage Concierge. This role encompasses responsibilities across multiple outlets including Union Restaurant, Inkwell Café & Bar, and In-Room Dining. The ideal candidate will deliver consistently warm, attentive, and professional service that reflects The Press Hotel brand. This position requires adherence to all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service regulations and standards, as well as the ability to collaborate as a flexible team member, supporting outlets and shifts based on business needs. Accurate cash handling and financial reporting procedures are essential.

Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to walk the property and grounds frequently
  • Ability to move up and down stairs regularly
  • Ability to move quickly based on guest needs
  • Ability to regularly move and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use repetitive manual dexterity, such as typing, polishing, using hand tools, and fixing small items
  • Ability to visibly survey property areas clearly
  • Ability to view a digital computer/tablet screen for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information effectively, often in a public/group setting
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to complete a satisfactory background check
  • Available and willing to work flexible hours based on business needs including weekdays and weekends.
  • Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion.
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, welcome, and seat guests at Union Restaurant, managing reservations, waitlist, and seating flow.
  • Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
  • Communicate special requests, allergies, and VIP notes to service and culinary teams.
  • Assist with guest concerns and coordinate with management for resolution.
  • Take, enter, and confirm in-room dining orders, upselling menu items.
  • Prepare, set up, and deliver in-room dining food and beverage orders.
  • Set and stage trays and tables to brand standard, ensuring proper temperature and complete orders.
  • Retrieve trays and tables from guest rooms and hallways promptly and courteously.
  • Handle guest payments and charges accurately.
  • Maintain knowledge of menus, allergens, and daily offerings.
  • Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, coffee, tea, and specialty beverages at Inkwell Café & Bar.
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and café equipment.
  • Serve pastries, light fare, and grab-and-go items, maintaining freshness and presentation.
  • Serve beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages responsibly.
  • Operate the POS, process transactions accurately, and handle cash and card payments.
  • Keep the café and bar area stocked, clean, and welcoming.
