About The Position

Hale Centre Theatre is currently seeking Part-Time Spotlight Operators. The Spotlight team works together through training, communication and precision to create memorable and exciting experiences for our patrons through live stage performances.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience running spotlight for large scale musicals is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment for theatrical and live entertainment venues.
• Proven working knowledge of theatrical terminology and documentation.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to a physically demanding role that encompasses, climbing and standing for long periods of time and at various heights.
• Ability to adapt to change with little or no notice.
• Positions require full availability (up to six days a week), including afternoons, nights, weekends, and select holidays.
• Successful candidates must be able to pass a drug screening and background prior to beginning work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or Certifications Operating Lighting Console
• Knowledge of Light Plots and How to Read Them

Responsibilities

• Drawing focus to performers with light to help tell the story to our patrons.
• Performing Preshow checks.
• Operating and maintaining the spotlight.
• Executing specified cues.
• Participating in Load in and Load out between shows.
