About The Position

Folder Gluer Operator set up, operate, and maintain machinery that folds, glues, and finishes paperboard packaging to meet quality and production standards. Key duties include adjusting feeders, glue systems, and folding stations, troubleshooting machine issues, ensuring accurate, high-speed production, and maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating folder-gluer equipment (e.g., Signature, Bobst, etc ) is typically required.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and make minor to medium repairs
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40-50 lbs.
• Understanding of folding techniques, adhesive application, and quality standards.
• Standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting heavy boxes of product.
• Working in a manufacturing environment with moderate to semi-high noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Configure the folder-gluer for different types of die cut forms (2 and 3 panel) based on job specifications.
• Run machinery at capacity while minimizing waste of glue and sheet stock.
• Monitor production, checking for proper folding, glue application, and affixing defects.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
• Complete production reports, data logs, and maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and GMP standards.
